Drinking Water Systems

We all know how important it is to get our daily intake of water, but just as important is to make sure that the water we are drinking is the safe, natural water our bodies crave. Some tap water proves to be more pure than others, but with a water filtration system, there is never a need to worry. At Peerless, Inc., we offer Microline R.O. Systems, our own Peerless domestic water filters, and automatic filters for nitrates and tannic acid.

Microline R.O. Systems

With more than 60 years of success, the Microline R.O. Systems use Reverse Osmosis (the R.O. of its name) to separate water at a molecular level and store cleaner, refined water in a tank to be used when you're ready. When the tank is full, the system automatically shuts down to stop production until you need more water-eliminating waste.

The first step is for the water to enter the prefilter which catches larger particles like silt, rust, or scale before the water passes on to the membrane. The membrane is the working horse of the system, allowing only Hydrogen and Oxygen molecules through while filtering all other dissolved solids into the drain. Finally, the water is routed to a holding tank, holding up to 2 gallons of fresh water. Turning on the faucet will send the water through a carbon filter to eliminate any remaining tastes or odors before you drink it.

Peerless Domestic Water Filters

We offer a simple and inexpensive solution that requires very little floor space and special attention. Our automatic backwash filter systems utilize different filter media depending on the type of filtration you need. Those media include birm for iron removal or manganese reduction, activated carbon for taste and odor reduction, filter AG for sediment and turbidity filtration, chlorine for chlorine reduction, hydrogen sulfide for hydrogen sulfide reduction, and multi-media for sediment and dirt removal.

Nitrate Filtration & Tannin Acid Removal

If you live on or near a farm, where fertilizers are used, you may be at risk for nitrates-they are invisible to the eye but are a potential health hazard. Tannins (tannic acid) causes a yellow cast to the water which is not a health risk but can cause staining. Our two different automatic filters require an ion exchange regeneration with salt. Two different media are available, one for nitrate filtration and one for tannin acid removal. Both come with a non-corroding tank, an automatic reset electronic water meter, and a brine tank system.
